Pearland Regional Airport hangar expansion
Pearland Regional Airport kicked off a plan to improve the airport starting with new hangars.
Texas Aviation Partners, the airport’s management team, partnered with real estate development and design-build firm Western LLC on the development.
Project scope
The initial work consisted of building a 23-unit hangar complex and demolishing two existing facilities. The project was part of a broader plan to add more aviation facilities, Western LLC said in a news release.
- New 23-unit hangar complex.
- Demolition of two existing facilities.
- Additional aviation facilities planned as part of broader airport improvements.
- Hangar reservations opened earlier in the year.
Why the expansion mattered
Hangar availability is a practical growth driver for general aviation airports. More hangar capacity can help attract aircraft owners, support based aircraft growth and create more opportunities for aviation-related services on the field.
The airport, at 17622 Airfield Lane, is about 30 miles southeast of downtown Houston.
